It is recommended for all workers to raise awareness of the impact of substance use, and to help inform safe and responsive working.

Ketamine (Essentials Level)

This course contains two video presentations by Jo Moore (Registered Manager of Birchwood). They were recorded during our recent Community of Practice (Ketamine) and provide insight into the growing Ketamine use and it's associated problems. The second of the two is a case study detailing the devastating effects of Ketamine (in under 3 years) and, the potential for recovery with the appropriate level of support.

This course is designed t0 look at the harms caused by substance misuse and the interventions we can suggest to minimise the associated risks.

The fact is people use and abuse both legal and illegal substances, this is unlikely to change.

People, however, at various timesĀ  do seek to make a change and by minimising risks we help them be in a position to do so,
