This course covers an introduction to substances, their effects and harm reduction information for the 5 main categories of substance seen in Substance Use Service Service Users

the different and varied ways that substance misuse and safeguarding intersect

strengths based and safety focused approach to safeguarding GDAS Service Users
and their families
This course is designed t0 look at the harms caused by substance misuse and the interventions we can suggest to minimise the associated risks.
The fact is people use and abuse both legal and illegal substances, this is unlikely to change.
People, however, at various times do seek to make a change and by minimising risks we help them be in a position to do so,
